ALAS, HIS GOLD FLECKED SOCKS GOT NICKED!

Confiding he had lost his socks

T’was just before the equinox.

The socks were green and flecked with gold

Amongst the most expensive sold.

Such beauty in a sock is rare

The sort adorning Fred Astaire.

Bedazzling some rotten thief

Such meanness is beyond belief.

Insurance people laughed out loud

And told him to get off that cloud.

Socks are socks, not a diamond ring

Don’t qualify as awesome bling.

Though this grim loss is untoward

Sadly, friend, you’re just not insured!
